What were your circumstances before you went into college? What motivated you to pursue your education at Medix?
(Previous Answers) What were your circumstances before you went into college? What motivated you to pursue your education at Medix? I always wanted to continue my education, being a single mom, I wanted to do better for me and my daughter. To show her that when you put your mind, heart, and soul into anything, you can accomplish whatever you want, and putting those goals and setting those bars.

What hands-on activities do you find the most enjoyable or the most interesting?
(Previous Answers) Labelling the specimen, sorting, how to sort the sample, how to specimen log into the system.

What was the highlight of your experience here at Medix?
(Previous Answers) One of the main highlights was how kind the staff, instructors, and students are. They would also support us, and help us at every opportunity.

How would you describe the community here at Medix?
(Previous Answers) The community at Medix is very supportive. Everyone helps you out and starts their day with a smile.

What is the hardest part of school and how did you get through it?
(Previous Answers) The hard part was that my daughter was also in school at the same time I would be in class. Managing her work, my work, life, attention to my child, household stuff, just the regular daily routine, and staying up until 3 or 4’clock in the morning to study. I wouldn’t say it was too much of a hindrance or a hard time. I think it was just making sure that I had that time management.

How do the instructors and/or your peers help you and your needs?
(Previous Answers) Two of my batch mates, we started together in March. My two colleagues were my biggest support system. They helped me. They would notify me if there was anything important happening in class. Or if I had missed something they would explain it very patiently. I would say my two colleagues, helped me a lot. Not even just them, everyone pitched in to help me. It was amazing.

What resources did you find most helpful here at Medix?
(Previous Answers) The instructors were a great resource, also Career Services helped us to find out placements and they helped us with our resumes and cover letters.
